Valve springs deserve much more attention than they usually get because marginal springs
can mean poor performance regardless of other criteria. Manufactured to specific free
length (no load) and calibrated amount of tension (closing force), all springs are not
equal. These designed in specifications ensure proper opening and closing of valves with
correct spring loads throughout the combustion cycle.
