.317 (8.05mm) High Speed Steel Reamer for Bronze Applications.
Designed for reaming high-density bronze based materials. Specially fluted, heat treated and ground to produce a smooth on-size I.D. Lubricant is required when reaming bronze.
Bronze valve guide reamers will finish size a majority of bronze valve guides including Aluminum Bronze, Silicon Aluminum Bronze and some Manganese Bronze alloys. Certain bronze alloys are very difficult or impossible to finish ream without proper equipment and technique and may require the use of a rigid hone to bring the valve guide to the desired finish size. We highly recommend understanding what bronze alloy your valve guides are made of before purchasing a bronze valve guide reamer.
